WHAT IS BIKE SHARE NEW LONDON?
BIKE SHARE is completely run by Bike New London volunteers and contributions.
The program is available at New London's Water Street Parking Garage, 161 Water St, New London, CT.

Bicycles are furnished by donation or purchased with donations.
Volunteers,
working with bicycle shops and experts, outfit the bikes with new parts as
needed, replace safety items such as brakes, tires, and cables, and also
repaint the bikes our signature colors.
To use a BIKE SHARE NEW LONDON bicycle, no reservation is required.
Come to the Water Street Garage, fill out a waiver (located here) form,
leave a $10 deposit, and select a bicycle that fits you.

This program is modeled after similar free or low-cost bike-sharing programs
presently in operation in cities across the country. Please take care of the
bicycle you borrow as if it were your own. This keeps our costs down.
If you should have a problem with a BIKE SHARE bicycle, return it, notify the garage attendant and
use a different one. Let the attendant know what the problem is so we can
repair the bicycle quickly.
BIKE SHARE NEW LONDON is not a commercial enterprise. We do not
make money from the use or repair of bicycles. We are not in the business
of selling bicycles, either new or used. We can, however, use your support:
DONATE TO BIKE NEW LONDON!
You can help us in many ways. You can donate a bicycle to BIKE SHARE.
You can donate parts, tires, baskets, racks, helmets, or bike locks to us.
You can donate your time to helping prepare bicycles to become BIKE SHARE
bikes. Volunteers are always needed for this effort.

Help us keep our fleet of Bike Share bikes maintained and add new bikes to the
program. Join Bike New London volunteers for our next Bike Build Day.
Supplies will be provided; you will want to wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
